Podsafe Music:

1. From The Engine Room: I took Adam Curry’s advice and converted the UTF Revolution to Galactic Biodiesel to see how it ran. Turns out these engines just can’t handle that kind of fuel. I ended up venting some crap- literally -into the Earth’s upper atmosphere.
2. Medical Emergency: Earth-bound biodiesel is simple cooking oil. Galactic Biodiesel, on the other hand, is made entirely from the droppings of a large rodent found on Nova Vida 12. Handling of this dangerous material is almost a certain way to contract GBP (Galactic Biodiesel Plague).

   Which I have. The droids have quarantined me in sickbay and I have to do the whole show through the com system. Not good.

3. Promo: Matthew Ebel CD Release Party | Thursday, Feb. 23, 8:30 PM at Nashville’s French Quarter Cafe. Free show, all ages, good food, full bar… and if you mention this podcast to Matthew you’ll get a free prize. It’s a live recording event, too, so come and make some noise and celebrate the release of Beer & Coffee!
4. Podsafe Showcase: I recently played the first Podsafe Showcase in Nashville with Kevin Reeves and Geoff Smith. Also joining us for some backup vocals (and earlier for her own set) was PMN artist Laura Clapp. I’m definitely looking forward to playing some more shows with them. The next Showcase, scheduled for Friday April 14th, I promise to get a recording to share with High Orbit listeners. Hopefully Podshow or some other entities will help out with future showcases (many thanks to Adam Curry for the promo on the DSC).
5. From Sickbay: This plague’s taking its toll and I’m barely able to produce the show. The droids are telling me I’ve got about a 50% chance of survival here, so this may very well be the last episode of High Orbit.

   God, I hope not.
