Podsafe Music:

  1. I Hate Vehicles: Last week my first officer and producer droid went haywire and left me floating in space. This week it’s The Birdmobile. Having some serious issues with that little craft, so if anyone out there wants to help, please spread the word about High Orbit. Pass an email to your friends or point people to the website.
  2. Because It Bears Repeating: As I said last week… please stop calling your music “Rock” if it doesn’t have a heartbeat to it. If this keeps up, I’m going to introduce a new segment on the show called You Wouldn’t Know Rock If Sammy Hagar Broke A Bottle Of Cabo-Wabo Over Your Head. (Or YWKRISHBABOCWOYH for short.)
  3. American Heartbreak - Things Are Looking Up - You can buy this track and others from AH on the Podsafe Music Network. Also check out Michael Butler’s critically-acclaimed Rock and Roll Geek Show.
  4. Topicality: I still don’t know exactly what it is this audience wants to hear. I want to hear from you! I would like to bring live concerts to you sometime in the future, but I’d love to know what’s working on this show so far. And what isn’t.

Please drop me a line here and let me know what you think. If you’ve got something really poignant to say, by all means send me some audio feedback!

  1. Christopher Penn, Financial Aid Podcast Says:

My preference is and always has been bands with unbelievably talented female lead vocalists. From terrestrial radio, that means the likenesses of Amy Lee from Evanescence, Tori Amos, and yes, even Kelly Clarkson. Breakaway is one of my guilty pleasures as songs go, though the music video in my head for it is considerably darker than the one her label made.

From Podsafe music, you’re talking Natalie Brown, i:scintilla, becca loebe, Jill Parr, Liz Longley, Planet of Women, Amy Dalley, Heather Sullivan, Lorena Mire, Beatrice Ericsson, and plenty more.

But that’s just me and what I like to hear. I’m almost to 625 podsafe songs played on my show :)

    enjoyed the podcast again.
I like the skits and hijinks. I really enjoy the “space” theme. Something different.

I like your mix in music you play too. All over the map. I personally wouldn’t change anything about your show format.

  3. Martin Says:

Out of the 60+ shows that i’m subscribed to, there is a handful that make me smile even before i’m able to listen to them. Those are P.W. Fenton’s shows, Mark ‘Tartanpodcast’ Hunter’s shows and, yes, yours.
The space-stuff is very entertaining and yout musical selection is execellent. The only show that was just good (as opposed to excellent). was the one with the Empress. Gave me the feeling that you guys were quit a bit higher than the normal orbit of 70-odd miles.

So, don’t worry about the format, and keep ‘m coming. Thanks, man!

  4. Brad from FREEDOM PEOPLE Says:

    High there, Matthew-

HIGH THERE, MATTHEW - This is Brad from FREEDOM PEOPLE.

THANKS for playing FREE by Freedom People from our unplugged CD on your ultra-cool podshow! We’ve been called the most upbeat, rockingly un-boring acoustic duo around - NOT “depressing folk music to slit your wrists by!” LOL No whining! No yawning! Right? Cool!

We have a fully-produced rock version album coming out soon which will be REAL rock with things that plug in, like guitars, bass, amps, effects, plug-ins…and drums smashing and bashing complete with edgy vocals that are actually in tune!

In the meantime, check us out at MySpace.com because there are some live electric full-band songs from WorldFest and Peace March Rally/Concerts from Hollywood & San Fran! DIG IT! Thanks again, dude you RULE!

    Peace,
    -Brad-

PS: Where can I send you some MP3s/AIFFs of the rocking live electric versions? Thanks. LATER!
